Citrus-Hazelnut Gremolata
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped toasted hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons snipped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
- 1 1/2 teaspoons finely shredded orange peel
- 1 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
- 1/2 teaspoon finely shredded lime peel
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
Directions
- In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients.
- Serve over grilled meat or fish, or toss with fresh green beans and carrots that have been steamed until crisp-tender.
Tip
- Tip: To toast whole nuts or large pieces, spread in a shallow baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until golden, shaking pan once or twice.
